It's a long walk up the stairs to the Taoist Temple at Tianchi (Heavenly Lake) outside Urumqi, Xinjiang province, China. We were the only visitors walking to the highest of the two temples.

The Photographers Review
Michael, you're right. The Chinese love stairs. I've seen quite a few that lead to walls. In Shenzhen, every park with a mountain has stairs going up to the top. I'm still waiting for the government's plan for a staircase to the summit of Mt. Everest.
