It's a long walk up the stairs to the Taoist Temple at Tianchi (Heavenly Lake) outside Urumqi, Xinjiang province, China. We were the only visitors walking to the highest of the two temples.

Great shot, Waiguouren buddy. I usually don´t like my compositions so perfectly centered, but in this one you´ve so perfectly captured that ¨Stairway To Heaven¨archetypal look I indeed feel perforce compelled to put Led Zeppelin on and move around the room swaying my head like a brontosaurus on fire.

Michael, you're right. The Chinese love stairs. I've seen quite a few that lead to walls. In Shenzhen, every park with a mountain has stairs going up to the top. I'm still waiting for the government's plan for a staircase to the summit of Mt. Everest.
