5 Big Goose Pagoda
Big Goose Pagoda is one of the oldest structures in China. Originally built in 648 by a
Tang prince, this temple compound has been beautifully restored. Its buildings and gardens provide a park-like atmosphere in which to wander. The pagoda was built to keep sutras brought back from India by a Chinese monk. It's one of the city's most distinctive and outstanding landmarks, possibly the most beautiful construction left in Xian today.
