The Daily Shoot - Romance in the City

This scene reminded me of walks along the river Seine in Paris, lazy afternoons in the sun, being young, in love ....

They say a photograph isn't any good if you have to explain it all, so have a look and tell me what you see?

I like the atmosphere, water reflections and scenic view, but seeing it a couple days later I wonder how I could have improved composition and perspective?

Maybe what I saw was more in my head then translated into the picture?

I am a people watcher and this shot makes me wonder about that couple. What were they doing there? How did they get so d*mn tan?

It's sunny and about 72 here today:) I'm definitely a people watcher - as long as I can sit in a cafe in the sun with a capucchino or a glass of wine:)

Beautiful weather! We are supposed to have a snow storm coming. Bet it doesn't amount to much though.

For some reason I don't like the bridge. It's too new and doesn't quite go with the hotel in the background. I think an old concrete bridge or stone bridge would make a much better picture. The couple doesn't add too much to the picture....I think I probably would have shot the hotel from a different angle.

Bob - you may be on to something about that bridge. Maybe it's the angle and having the bridge straight across is not inviting.
I wonder if I had been elevated so the hotel is taller and more dominant ...

Funny....great minds and all that! I wasn't as concerned with the disparity between the hotel architecture and the bridge, but I was thinking that maybe taken from a different angle if it might not have paired better!
