Every summer, we go on a vacation. We come home relaxed and ready for life, but this year was different. We went to Italy for our 40th wedding anniversary. We traveled to Rome, Naples, Pompeii, and Venice. It was an awesome trip, but as soon as we came home, my father-in-law died of cancer.
So we had to go to New York. We decided to drive instead of fly to save money as we had just spent so much on the Italy trip. We got to see family and friends and had an awesome trip. I was hoping to escape the heat, but our Oklahoma heat followed us all the way to New York.
We are back home, and I am truly exhausted. Two major vacations in as many months is one vacation too many. I am ready to just relax, but with the record breaking heat, there is little escape.

I bet the trip to Italy was amazing! My boyfriend and I travel a lot for work(although most of it is within a few hours of home) so we are lucky to both be home 1-2 days a week together. We also do a lot of traveling for fun so I know how it can wear you out. Hope you have a relaxing August(and hope it cools off!)
