Dreaming of Some Place Warm - Walt Disney World

This cold weather and snow has really put a damper on my spirits.  I need sun; I need warmth.   I started going through my Disney pictures from November and planning what I want to see when I go back this year.  I have a list of new attractions and some "do-overs".

Love the pictures. :) We had about 3 inches of snow yesterday. Its been in the 20's all week with a wind chill of single digits but today it got up to 55. It was so warm I felt like I didn't need a jacket to go outside.

We've been looking at pictures of Disney a lot lately, too. :) It's not even really very cold here, though, for this time of year. But Elliott works a little more on his Disney schedule every day, since we've got the countdown going now.

We leave for Missouri five weeks from tomorrow, and then the following weekend we're heading to Florida. While we are at Disney World, we'll be staying at Shades of Green, so we can take in the whole Disney experience. :) I made our character breakfast reservations this week, and that's been all Elliott wants to talk about. lol He really wants to do the breakfast with Elmo at Busch Gardens, too, since we are going there one day, too.

The character breakfasts sound fun. I was looking at those for my next trip. I don't know if my friends would want to but I think we would have fun.
Get Elliot an autograph book so he can get the characters' autographs. I got my picture taken with a lot of the characters but didn't think about the autograph book until after the fact.


My cousin mentioned he was going to look at staying at Shades of Green next his family goes to Disney.

My sister found a Disney Encyclopedia on sale somewhere cheap and got one of those for Elliott to use as his autograph book, so they can sign right next to their picture. :)

I've read a lot of good things about Shades of Green. The rooms are supposed to be comparable to the ones at the Deluxe resorts, but are MUCH cheaper. Between the difference on the hotel price there, the discounted Disney tickets, the free Busch gardens admission, and the price of staying on base versus off base in the Tampa area, we're paying roughly half of what it would cost us if my husband wasn't in the military! And to make it even better, my sister is able to get the same deals everywhere except Busch Gardens since she is traveling with us.

The encylopedia is a great idea.

Good deal on the trip. It's nice to see places giving discounts to the military.

Glad you had a good time. When aree you going back? Is it for vacation or work related?I am dreaming of some place warm too. Not florida though. With my family living there I am burnt out on the whole Disney thing. I have Hawaii on my mind though. I miss living there so much and during the winters I miss it even more.

One Day! I have never been, but I can totally do for some warm weather right now. Cute pics!! That one with the clock tower reminds me of the pied piper clock tower in Wisconsin Dells.

I am so Disney burned out!!! My kids are 34 and 30 and we have been doing Disney since they were little. Then the grandkids came along.
Just went last year with the grandkids, so I won't be visiting Mickey for a while.
