Grand Teton National Park - a glimpse

I'm amazed at how many pictures I took at both Yellowstone & Grand Teton National Park. Both parks have given me a new appreciation for nature & preserving it, instead of using and harming it.

I know it can be hard to look at a ton of mountain pictures, especially if you have never seen them in person before, so I will try not to overwhelm my connections!

While we only drove through Grand Teton National Park one one day (to get to Driggs, Idaho), and 1 day of activities there...it has made a lasting impression on me.

The mountains are truly majestic, the lakes are pristine, the views are amazing.

 

I love the lighting in the above picture, you can see the sun shining in the valley....

Wonderful waters - we dipped our feet in Jenny Lake, but this picture is a shallow part of a river.

Glaciers are seen

Pine trees dominate the landscape

Light & darkness can make for some wonderful shots

Nature is always beautiful~

This is the Teton landscape - I remember Grand Teton & Moran Mountain are here.

A storm was coming over the mountains. We heard the thunder. At the time we were on a lake tour of Jenny Lake - he started heading back then!

The Grand Teton National Park celebrated their 50th Anniversary in 2000. Check out

www.nps.gov.grte/index/htm to learn tons more about the park & to plan your own trip. With the Ranger led talks, & walks, informative films & awesome bookstores....plus with the scenery & animals....it's an awesome place to visit!

I don't think I have ever seen anything as beautiful as the views in your photos. The first photo is absolutely gorgeous! The Grand tetons are now on my "bucket" list!

You will love it if you are able to get there! Plus Yellowstone is so close - you can easily do both parks!

Your photos are phenomenal! I took the route you did years ago and still find myself thinking how the beauty of those areas has changed over the years, it has gotten more beautiful!

I want to take a road trip s-o-o-o-o bad. The girls are asking when we can go. And I'm bogged down in more court stuff and uncertainty.

But, we'll make it before school starts. One way or another!

This would be a great road trip from Oregon! We stayed in Driggs, Idaho for our Grand Teton portion & then Cooke City, Montana for the Yellowstone

I adore Yellowstone but have never seen the Tetons, the granddaddy of the Western Rockies.

I'm glad you got to go. It's amusing how many people think an old hill is a mountain. The Rockies have so much to marvel about...as does every region of the U.S. Glacier National Park is nice, too...and the Canadian Rockies are even more awesome...

I have never been out West but my best friend did a two week tour of Yellowstone and the Tetons last summer and her photos were magnificent, as are yours! Your photos are spectacular!....The one the caught my eye was the wildflowers. I have that exact same one growing in my yard in PA!

I have been to Colorado and it is beautiful there. But I don't travel much so I truly enjoyed your wonderful shots. These have brought me to another place that I would love to see and thank you for sharing them with us. I am really amazed at all the beautiful places there are to see right here in the USA.

I visited the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone back in 1993! I was in awe of the splendor of the mountains, water and wildflowers. You brought back them memories of the awesome time we had there!

These photos are spectacular! I haven't been here, but now I feel like I have. I've seen mountains in Vermont and in Arizona. The Green mountains in Vermont look like hills compared to these majestic mountains.
