We loaded up the motorcycle and took a ride to Luckenbach, Texas where Waylon, Willie and the Boys hang out. The small Texas town was celebrating its 150th anniversary. Cake and beer were available. It is a scenic winding road through the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
The former Post Office building in Luckenbach serves as a novelty store with unique western gifts. If you walk through the store, toward the back, you will find an antique bar with cold beer and beverages. A shaded back porch area has picnic tables and an outdoor stage for live music. It is a wonderful place to stop and hang your hat for a little while - maybe even do some dancing under the starry Texas evenings.
It was a fun ride on the motorcycle, with scenic views and friendly people wherever we went.
