Tahiti

Has anyone ever been to Tahiti. My wife wants to go really bad but I don't know much about it except that it looks beautiful.  I want to hear everyone's thoughts, reviews, suggestions, where I can get a good deal, etc. She also likes the little bungalows that are on a deck over the water.

I have been to Tahiti, it is an amazing place to visit. We went on a cruise so we didn't actually stay on the Islands. However we were able to visit each. My favorite part was a snorkle excursion called Stingray ballet. We ended up swimming with Rays and Black tipped Reef Sharks!! It was amazing!! It's not a cheap vacation, in fact it was probably one of our most expensive vacations so far. But I have no regrets. Costco and Sams occasionaly runs ads with discounts on trips to Tahiti. Keep your eyes out and good luck! Your wife will love you for it!!
