Chicago blues signifies dreams and new beginnings, as the music came to the city in the 1920s when African Americans moved from the South to the urban North during the Great Migration. I'll never forget attending the Chicago Blues Fest early one Sunday morning. Listening to Saffire: The Uppity Blues Women for the first time, and they were playing the hell out of a Willie Dixon song when Mr. Dixon joined them on stage for an impromptu jam.
